Man pleads not guilty to drunk driving charges

A driver in a nearby community who was allegedly involved in a DUI accident which eventually led to the death of a woman recently pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide, among others. The 26-year old man is accused of striking and killing a woman as she got into the back seat of a parked car. Authorities say the man was intoxicated and driving drunk at the time of the accident. The man also allegedly injured the 47-year-old victim's sister and her daughter in the accident.

Pennsylvania man arrested for loaded gun in airport

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has strict guidelines for passengers wishing to transport firearms on an aircraft. All firearms must be declared to the airline. The TSA definition of firearms includes any weapon which will, is designed to or may be easily converted to expel a projectile by the force of an explosive. TSA also classifies as a weapon the frame or receiver of any such weapon, any firearm silencer or muffler or any destructive device.

Pennsylvania couple both charged with DUI on same night

Someone who operates a motor vehicle in Pennsylvania with a blood alcohol content level above .08 is considered per se intoxicated, meaning they are legally deemed to be intoxicated even without additional evidence supporting that allegation. A driver may be arrested and convicted of driving under the influence even if they have a BAC level lower than .08 if there is other evidence that the driver is intoxicated. For drivers under the legal drinking age, a BAC level of only .02 while operating motor vehicle is illegal.

Pennsylvania man faces drug charges after crashing vehicle

A 23-year-old Pennsylvania man is facing criminal charges after allegedly crashing his car into a concrete barrier. Witnesses report that the man was driving recklessly and swerving into oncoming traffic. The vehicle was pulled over by police, who reported that the man appeared to be under the influence. Police searched the vehicle and allegedly found 24 individual packets of heroin and marijuana.
