Philadelphia man charged with DUI after accident

There are many people in Philadelphia who are charged with DUIs each month. In order to address this issue, the Pennsylvania legislature has enacted many laws to punish those who drive under the influence. The police are also trained to determine if a driver is drunk and make a DUI arrest based on this assessment. There are many indications that police look for when determining whether a driver is drunk. If the person is swerving in traffic or is involved in an accident, police will generally conduct tests to determine whether alcohol is a factor.

There have been many campaigns to keep Philadelphia teenagers from taking drugs. Despite all of the efforts, teenagers will always be curious and continue to experiment with various drugs and alcohol. Many will never be caught with these drugs, but still others are caught and face various drug charges. Offenses like drug possession can have a big impact on the young person's future beyond the immediate consequences they receive from the courts.

Philadelphia man arrested on gun charges

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution protects a person's right to bear arms. However, in order for people in Philadelphia to legally possess a firearm, they must have a gun license. Despite this law, many people still possess firearms without a license. If a person is caught with a gun without the proper license, they could face serious gun charges. Even after being charged, the person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Many arrested in Philadelphia drug raids

Illegal drugs are prevalent in Philadelphia, and each year many are arrested and face various drug charges. Despite the number of arrests each year, illegal drugs are still abundant in the city. However, law enforcement continues the so called "war on drugs." Philadelphia's police force, therefore, still conducts investigations and makes many arrests in an attempt to break up drug trade in the city. This could put many Philadelphians' legal rights in jeopardy.
